HOLI HAI! Children attending the Monday Day Care celebrated Holi with flowers, verve and  gusto. A few days earlier, adult patients had celebrated Holi with songs and dancing. (details)

The second annual WALK FOR LIFE was held along Shanti Path. More than 3500 people participated and expressed their solidarity with people living with cancer and those fighting it. It was a festive and joyous event celebrating the value of life! (details)

OVERVIEW

CanSupport provides palliative care to cancer patients living in Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR) of India.

Palliative Care helps people facing a life limiting condition such as cancer to be free of avoidable pain and suffering, to maintain their personal dignity and independence and to be emotionally and socially comfortable. Palliative Care is not about helping someone to die, rather, it is helping them to live to the fullest despite their situation.
 

CanSupport's services, which are free of charge, include

  • Information and guidance as well as emotional support to patients and relatives faced with a diagnosis of cancer via a Telephone HELPLINE and this website
  • One-on-one counselling and emotional support by trained and skilled counsellors
  • Peer support groups for experience-sharing between patients and care-givers, moderated by skilled and experienced facilitators

  • Home Care visits by professional, multi-disciplinary palliative care teams (each team has a doctor, nurse and counsellor), which provide medical, nursing and psycho-social support to patients and families
  • Day Care programme for adults and children diagnosed with cancer, with their parents, to provide relief and relaxation, stimulation and entertainment
