It would be impossible for CanSupport to provide its services without the support of hundreds and thousands of people who are sensitised to the seriousness of the problems of those facing cancer in their lives. For the poor and under-served sections of our society the trauma of disease is compounded by social ignorance, stigma, threat of destitution and family disintegration.

The extent of need is vast and CanSupport must expand vigorously to reach out to more people facing this difficult situation.

If you have had direct or indirect experience of the devastating impact of diseases like cancer upon the patient and family and have felt the acute lack of appropriate medical and psycho-social support...

If you are already sensitised to the growing scourge of cancer and wish to do something to alleviate the suffering of those caught in its web...

If you care, but hesitate to act because you don't know what to do or how to go about it

FRIENDS OF CANSUPPORT is meant for you!

FRIENDS OF CANSUPPORT will be a social network with a serious purpose. Its main aims will be :

  1. To provide all kinds of help and assistance to CanSupport to enable it to expand its Palliative Care services to the under-served sections of the NCR population
  2. To help sensitise people to the plight of those afflicted by life-limiting conditions such as cancer, and win more supporters to the cause
  3. To spread awareness of CanSupport and it's Home Care and Support Services programme which is aimed solely at reducing the needless pain, suffering and anxiety of cancer patients.

Members of FRIENDS OF CANSUPPORT will pro-actively :

  1. Be ambassadors for CanSupport and its Service Mission
  2. Use their talents, skills, time and resources to help CanSupport expand and improve its services
  3. Arrange for CanSupport to provide correct knowledge and understanding about cancer to members of their own communities
  4. Organise local activities to promote CanSupport's fund-raising and awareness efforts
  5. Help expand the membership of FRIENDS OF CANSUPPORT
